Metaphysics of Love

Under an iridescent rainbow of spices
shipwrecking through the air
under the awning of Andromeda
awaits a portal
whose path is through the flesh of
the newly arrived in the country
that no one tries to conquer.

The guards in the sky
agree that your angel
tastes like rose
someone’s falling wings
are sending their regards
to the planet that eats its
unconceived children
impatiently waiting her deathtouch
or your nose
and your fingers
yearning for holy spices,
god’s dusts.

Metafisica dell’amore

Sotto un arcobaleno iridescente di spezie
naufraganti nell’aria

agognanti spezie sacre,
polvere di dio.

Promised Land

To the departed

Like compasses for unreachable paradises
ancient dreams shall show towards the dug light lands of the subliminal
the great winds that’ll guard
seven holy days will not pass without a shadow
in the rooms we will not seek the silence that afflicts and heals
in the hospitals where voices are blowing
merry science won’t kill anymore the gods in our heads.
Silk universes of childhood shall flutter with the sunset
which is to be hugged by the shadows of the bodies
crucified under the time that rains futures.
Still undawned
blue voids shall burn from the shrines out of control
young age will slowly get replaced by the colors of wide-awakeness
that’s running ahead of a locomotive dragging the years
which break you free from freedom that illuminates lights
We are adults and now empty is the cradle of the lost winds
there are no children of the truth
nor perfect illusions
the letter “o” becomes air exhaled from the chest of a fallen revolutionary
matured through fields wed with blood, confined with night.
And yet, an attempt and a hope is our golden trek towards eternity
and everything that listens to the ancestral torment in an embrace with these lands
everything from the reflection of this hour
truth again shall be.

Tis for us not to know
what is and which is
the strength of the cursed
the idyll of the departed;
to see it as a southern flower in June
in the middle of a field on the fallen homeland
the white vigor of the exiled
in promised lands of the lost notes
and voices with shadows of envy.

It is for us to condemn
from the first revelation
the tremor of the weak
as if foreign is the fear resembling guilt
metaphysics and thought
build rifts
in meat ramparts
promised land
a promised land finds the sight buried in itself
a sight, echo of a voice saying the promised land
Hides by the stride of the living,
the fatigue of the deers
and the embrace of every half-sun with the gorges
which confine clarity of the early days.

Promised Land
whose dawn is the one
in which the clouds grow up in the golden plows of the horizonless
and rains call for life in the desolation
– Logs in the time of the departed.

Oh my promised Land…

nell’ospedale dove voci stanno esplodendo

l’idillio dei trapassati;

Spetta a noi condannare

O, mia terra promessa…

The Smile of the Ice-Cream Man

The smile of the old ice-cream man on the square
rises again in the chests of the passengers
a smell of a lost wind rains around the children’s heads
and drips them with holy water
from the cotton candy clouds
while street dogs are baptized in blurred puddles
the thirsty eyes of the old ice cream man
wait to drink from the sky that the magician with a colorful tie
lays down in front of everyone
puts it in a hat
a paper sheet is left blank up there
on which street harmonicas with dusty notes draw
abstract expressionism
resembling a watermelon and a shade of a weary summer.
From behind a balcony on a cracked facade
five to six swallows set off to find us
following line segments
and incidentally they meet on the other side of the planet
the ice cream man sits on a box of old wood
waits for
the fall of each drop back into the fountain
the blunt step of the second hand of the watch
and the rain set to fall strictly at noon
supposed to whitewash into a dream
the air from the nearby meadow
where the dogs spurt, passing on a chariot
the wide untold smiles.

dalle nuvole come zucchero filato
dove i cani scorrazzano, mentre passa col carretto
quel grande, indescrivibile sorriso.
